What Is Pal Reverser?
Pal Reverser is a consumable item that changes a Pal's gender — male to female, or female to male. It was added in the Tides of Terraria update (v0.6.0) and remains available in Palworld 1.0. Each use consumes one Pal Reverser, and the change is instant.
Gender in Palworld matters for exactly one mechanic: breeding. To breed two Pals, you need one male and one female. That requirement is frustrating when you finally catch or breed a rare, high-quality Pal only to end up with two of the same gender. Pal Reverser is the direct answer to that problem.
How to Get Pal Reverser
Pal Reverser cannot be crafted. You obtain it through three sources:

How to Use Pal Reverser
You can't use a Pal Reverser from your inventory directly — it's applied through a Pal Surgery Table:
