In Palworld, your character level is the gate to everything — weapons, armor, base structures, and mounts. Each level grants 1 Technology Point (sometimes 2 after Level 10), which you spend on the Tech Tree to unlock new recipes. Without enough levels, you're locked out of the game's best gear.

Player XP vs Pal XP: Your character and your Pals have separate XP bars with different requirements. Player XP requirements are much higher — reaching Level 50 requires 86,400 XP, while a Pal needs only 40,304 XP for the same level. However, Pals in your active party receive a share of all XP you earn, so they level alongside you automatically.

That might not sound like much for a single species, but consider the math at scale: there are 180+ Pal species in Palworld.   2. Assign Pals by suitability. Mining Pals (Digtoise, Reptyro) to Ore nodes. Kindling Pals (Foxparks, Arsox) to furnaces. Handiwork Pals (Anubis, Verdash) to workbenches. Transporting Pals (Cattiva, Lamball) to move materials between stations.
  3. Set up a Ranch with Vixy (Caprity). Vixy passively produces Pal Spheres, giving you free spheres for catch bonus farming AND generating crafting XP at the same time.

1. Party XP Sharing (Passive)

Every Pal in your active party (up to 5) receives a share of all XP you earn — whether from catching, combat, or crafting. 2. Alpha Pal Combat (Active)
