🐾 72 New Pals & Where to Find Them
47 brand-new species plus 25 elemental variants. Most are in the new Sunreach and World Tree zones.
The full Paldeck now has 287 Pals. The 72 new additions break down as:
- 47 original species — completely new Pals, mostly in Sunreach and World Tree
- 25 variants — elemental/regional variants of existing Pals (Tanzee Ignis, Beakon Cryst, Rayhound Cryst, etc.)
Key new Pals worth hunting immediately:
| Pal | Type | Why Hunt It |

| Aegidron | Ground/Steel | Best new defensive tank, natural base defender |
| Sholong | Dragon/Fire | Top-tier combat Pal with new unique active skill |
| Solmora Lux | Electric/Light | Excellent base worker — Electricity Lv5 |
| Astralym | Psychic | World Tree boss Pal, unique Awakening synergy |
🗺️ Sunreach & World Tree — Two New Regions
The two new zones are the endgame. Sunreach is the mid-to-late game hub; World Tree is the final challenge.
Sunreach — Floating Archipelago
A chain of floating islands held aloft by Paldium energy. Accessed via a new fast-travel point that unlocks around level 45-50. Features exclusive environments, its own Tower Bosses, rare Soralite ore, and unique settlements. This is where you'll find about half of the new Pals.
World Tree — Endgame, Story Finale
The location teased since the game's original trailer. The World Tree resolves the central mystery of Palpagos. Expect the hardest fights in the game, Radiant Gems (for the Awakening system), and the story climax. Bring your best team — this zone makes the old endgame look easy.
🧬 Breeding Changes — Mutation & New Cakes
Breeding got its biggest update since launch. Mutation eggs, four new cake types, and adjusted combinations.
Mutation Breeding
Breeding now has a small chance to produce a mutated Egg. Mutated Pals hatch with higher base stats and a unique passive skill not available through normal breeding. The chance is low — estimates from early testing suggest 5-10% — but the payoff is worth the grind.
Four New Breeding Cakes
| Cake | Effect | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Mushroom Cake | Higher offspring stats | IV breeding |
| Vegetable Cake | Produces two Eggs at once | Mass breeding for passives |
| Deluxe Vegetable Cake | Higher mutation chance + stat growth | Mutation hunting |
| Special Cake | Better passive skill inheritance from parents | Chain breeding for perfect 4-passive Pals |
⚔ Combat Overhaul — Level 80, 13 New Weapons, Skill Reworks
The combat system was rebuilt. Player movement, Pal skills, Tower Bosses — almost everything changed.
Key Combat Changes
- Level cap raised to 80 — 15 more levels with new Ancient Technology unlocks
- Dodge is now a dash when aiming/attacking; you can attack while dashing; reloading continues through dodge actions
- Partner skill stacking removed — you can't bring 5 Jetragons anymore. Diverse teams are now required
- Pal damage buffed — party Pals now deal equal or greater damage than the player
- "Attack this enemy!" command — order Pals to target specific foes (Mouse Wheel Click / Right Stick)
- Tower Bosses redesigned — unique arenas, new mechanics, time limit reduced to 5 minutes
13 New Weapons
From early-game melee to endgame energy weapons:
- Early game: Primitive Sword, Metal Bat
- Mid game: Mechanical Bow, Combat SMG, Prototype Shotgun, Heavy Assault Rifle, Tactical Grenade Launcher
- Late game: Laser Sword, Beam Scatter, Drone Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Beam Launcher
- Legendary: Enhanced Lily's Spear (endgame reward)
Plus you can now equip up to 6 weapons at once with the Extra Weapon Holster.
🏗️ Base Building Overhaul
Aquatic building, free repairs, better storage, wave-based raids — base management just got a major upgrade.
Biggest Base Changes
- Build on water — Aquatic Construction Kit lets you build along shorelines and at sea
- Free repairs — Repair Kit removed. Handiwork Pals auto-repair structures for free
- Storage overhaul — Chest naming, search filters, category filters. Magic Chests now work across more facilities
- Wave-based raids — Survive multiple waves for escalating rewards. Enemy faction depends on base region
- Defense structures no longer consume ammo — set up turrets and forget about them
- Work Suitability now goes to Lv10 — Condensation max rank only needs 48 Pals (down from 116!)
🪓 New Materials — Hardwood, Soralite, Paloxite
Three new resource types. Here's where to find them and what they're used for.
| Material | Where to Find | Used For |
|---|---|---|
| Hardwood | Sunreach forests, new tree types in floating islands. Use the Plasma Multicutter for best yield. | Ancient Civilization building pieces, high-tier crafting stations |
| Soralite | Sunreach — mining nodes on floating islands. Requires at least a Metal Pickaxe to mine. | Ancient Series armor, new weapon crafting |
| Paloxite | World Tree region — rare mining nodes, endgame only | Endgame gear, Awakening-related crafting |
🔄 Returning Player Guide — What to Do First
Haven't played since EA? Here's how to jump into 1.0 without getting lost.
- Start a fresh save. I know it hurts, but Pocketpair recommends it. The progression was reworked from the ground up. Your old Jetragon army won't carry over the same way.
- Play through the reworked Tower Bosses. Each one now has a unique arena and new mechanics. They're not the same fights you remember.
- Rush the Glider upgrades. The new Wing Pack lets you fly without a Pal mount — game-changing for exploration. Unlock it as soon as you can.
- Head to Sunreach around level 45-50. That's where the new content starts. World Tree is the final destination after that.
- Don't trust old breeding charts. Combinations were adjusted. Use our updated Breeding Guide.
- Don't trust old spawn maps. Jetragon moved. Almost all field bosses moved. Exploration is fresh again.
